A question before you come?
Before you pack, you might need one last bit of clarification. Here we’ve gathered the answers to the questions we’re often asked. For anything else, just drop us a line — we’ll be happy to reply.
Your questions about your stay at Les Reflets Roz
Is breakfast included?
Yes! All rooms include breakfast. It’s served in the communal room between 8:30 and 9:30 for a friendly moment over homemade preparations and local produce. Made fresh each day, with vegetarian options.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
We welcome you from 5pm on the day of arrival. Departure must be before 11am. In certain circumstances we can arrange early arrival (from 2PM) or late departure (until 3PM) for a supplement — just let us know when you book.
Can we book a meal for our arrival?
We can prepare a food basket for you to enjoy on our mezzanine above the kitchen or in your room. You’ll also be able to book our table d’hôtes when it opens (spring/summer 2026).
Are pets allowed?
We accept dogs in Le Refuge only. We ask that you keep your dog on a lead on the estate for everyone’s wellbeing. If they need to run free, we’ll point you towards our favourite walking routes from the guesthouse. Please note the grounds are not enclosed and your pet could easily wander off.
See our dog-friendly stay in Brittany page for full details.
Is the garden safe for children?
No, our natural space is not equipped with barriers — we keep fencing to a minimum to avoid restricting the natural environment. The animals living here (ducks, frogs, cranes, etc.) are wild, so please don’t feed them. We ask you to respect the natural spaces for a harmonious coexistence that lets you enjoy this magical place without disturbing the wildlife.
A pond and two streams run through the estate and access is unrestricted. You are entirely responsible for your children’s safety.
What baby equipment is available?
We can lend you a travel cot. We don’t have a changing table. We can warm meals or bottles on request.
What technology is available: WiFi, TV, etc.?
All our rooms have high-speed fibre WiFi.
None of the rooms has a television.
Games are available in the communal space, along with drawing materials.
Is the Nordic bath truly private?
Yes. When you use the Nordic bath, it’s reserved for you alone — you don’t share it with other guests. Each group uses it at their own pace, with no simultaneous sharing.
Find out more about our wellness space.
Do we need to book the Nordic bath in advance?
No, there’s no booking system. The bath is heated for your arrival and freely accessible throughout your stay. If several rooms are occupied at the same time, we simply invite you to coordinate with other guests.
What exactly is Les Reflets Roz — a hotel, a gîte?
Neither. It’s a characterful guesthouse in Brittany: the privacy and independence of self-contained accommodation, the warmth of a lived-in home, within a 4-hectare nature estate. Sébastien and Céline live on-site — in their own building. Guests have theirs, for themselves alone.
Is Les Reflets Roz accessible from Rennes, Nantes, Saint-Brieuc?
Yes. We’re 20 minutes from Saint-Brieuc, 1h15 from Rennes, 2 hours from Nantes, and 2h30 from Paris by TGV to Saint-Brieuc. A nature setting in Brittany, accessible for a weekend.
Is the eco-responsible approach genuine or a marketing tool?
Genuine. Wood heating, toilets and washing machines fed exclusively by rainwater recovery, steam cleaning without chemicals, French-made bedding, vegetarian cooking with local produce. It’s simply how we live, not a label.
Can we fish in the pond?
No. Les Reflets Roz is an LPO wildlife refuge — the French bird protection league. As such, the pond and its surroundings are a protected natural space where herons, egrets, kingfishers and ducks live freely year-round. Fishing is not permitted in order to preserve this ecosystem. That said, watching these birds from the water’s edge — or from the Nordic bath — is one of the gentlest experiences of the stay.
