Twenty years in banking for Sébastien. A career in communications for Céline — from print to Renault’s crisis management rooms. Two good trajectories, happy, full. We loved that first life — the travel, the people, the challenges. We made the most of it.
And then, quietly, it stopped being enough.
This isn’t a story of a breakdown or a reckless leap. It’s a story about meaning. The kind you look for when what you’re doing no longer gives it. The kind you find again when you finally choose to build something that truly feels like you.
We left everything for that.
The place
In 2021, we found Les Reflets Roz — a 4-hectare estate in the heart of Brittany, with a pond, a bamboo grove, paths winding between the trees. It already breathed what we wanted to offer, even if we were far from imagining the guesthouse it would become. Our friends were supportive — genuinely, warmly. We found out later they thought we were a little mad, and the project almost impossible. We understand. We probably were, a little.
Four years of building work. Without the banks, who didn’t follow. So we did everything ourselves. Sébastien took on the structural work — the electrics, the plumbing, the groundwork, the facade pointing, the outdoor spaces. Céline designed each room, chose every detail, scoured brocantes to find the furniture she restored, planted the flower beds that border the pond. Together we laid the tiles, the parquet, the paint. Stone by stone, room by room, we brought to life what we had imagined for months — and which today exceeds what we had dared to hope for.
During the works, Céline completed her yoga training — what had started as a personal journey, to better understand a practice she loved, became a vocation at the very moment everything else was changing too. Today, if the mood for a session takes you during your stay, she’s here to welcome you onto the mat.
In July 2025, we opened Le Refuge — our first room. Two days after putting the listing online, heading to the cinema with the kids, an Airbnb message arrives at 7:30pm: “We’ve just booked, we’ll be there in 30 minutes.” Immediate U-turn. Back in a rush. And our first guests — welcomed with a smile, as if we’d always done this.
Because in a way, we’d been waiting for that moment all along.
What we offer you
When you’re at Les Reflets Roz, you don’t clear the table. You don’t remake the bed before you leave. You don’t think about what needs doing next.
You enjoy it. All the way through. Because that’s how we are — we take care of everything else so that all you have to do is be here.
Sébastien is the one you’ll see day to day — in the kitchen in the morning, available if you need anything, discreet if you’d rather have the quiet. Building work continues between stays — a fourth room, a gîte, cabins on the pond, a yoga space in Brittany still to come — but when you’re here, you’re the priority. The rest can wait.
Céline you might cross paths with at breakfast, time for a hello. She’s the one who imagined each room, chose every piece of furniture, planted every flower. Her presence is throughout the place — even when she isn’t there.
Together we discuss everything and decide everything. This place was designed to be complete and coherent — the setting, the rooms, the wellness space, the dining, the welcome. Nothing is left to chance, everything has been chosen with care.
